Your new company is a mainstream service offering young people
therapeutic interventions in residential settings. Your new company
utilises frontline staff to develop and maintain healthy professional
relationships with young people and their families. Your company uses
a network of services including residential centres, aftercare, and
community-based outreach to support young people and their families.

YOUR NEW ROLE

In your new role as a Social Care Worker, you will provide the
adolescent service users with a safe therapeutic environment where
they can develop emotionally and physically. You will work in
conjunction with colleagues and managers to implement care plans to a
high standard. You will ensure young people feel cared for and take an
individualised approach to responding to their needs. You will embody
the company?s ethos and adhere to local and national policies on
working with vulnerable people.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

To be successful as a Social Care Worker you will have a QQI level 7
qualification in Social Care or another related field. You will need 2
years of experience working in residential settings with children. You

flexibility around availability. You should have a full driver?s
licence. A strong knowledge of social policy and child protection
legislation would make you a strong candidate.
